Meadows Behavioral Healthcare, a leader in behavioral health with over 45 years of clinical expertise, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Therapist to join their team in Wickenburg, AZ. The organization provides comprehensive residential, outpatient, and virtual treatment programs for drug and alcohol addiction, trauma, sexual addiction, behavioral health conditions, and co-occurring disorders, using evidence-based approaches including neurofeedback and specialized therapies.

The Therapist will play a vital role in assessing and facilitating care for assigned patients, developing treatment and continuing care plans, and conducting individual, family, specialized, and group psychotherapy sessions. This role involves case management, active participation in multidisciplinary treatment teams, and promoting therapeutic milieu in alignment with the program schedule.

Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, coordinating care and discharge planning, facilitating therapy sessions, providing specialized therapy services (such as Family, Equine, Art, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing), supporting group therapy/education components, documenting clinical activities, and actively participating in program development and performance improvement initiatives. On-call coverage may also be required.

Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or a related field and hold state licensure (or apply for psychologist license if holding a doctorate in psychology). Additional requirements include CPR & First Aid certification, CPI certification, a valid driver’s license, driver safety training, and preferably two years of experience in the behavioral health field, particularly in specialty services within a managed care environment.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive, requiring substance abuse screening prior to employment. Meadows Behavioral Healthcare is a drug-free workplace and does not employ medical marijuana cardholders.
