Tower Crew Supervisor

Description:

MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure is seeking a Tower Crew Supervisor to supervise and coordinate the work of tower crew workers. This position involves overseeing tasks related to the erection of towers, ensuring quality and accuracy in the installation of turbines, alignment of generators, and torqueing rotors. The supervisor will ensure that the assigned work progresses on schedule while adhering to company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promote and comply with all company and safety policies and procedures.

• Supervise and ensure the efficient and skillful performance of workers.

• Ensure work progresses according to the schedule.

• Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties accordingly.

• Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.

• Oversee the routing of materials and equipment and manage the layout of work areas.

• Initiate personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, and disciplinary measures.

• Train new workers and assist with jobsite orientation.

• Maintain time and production records.

• Coordinate activities with the jobsite superintendent and/or foreman.

• Complete required daily project reports and maintain records of small tooling maintenance and materials.

• Be prepared to travel to different jobsites on short notice.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or GED.

• Experience: 1-3 months related experience or equivalent training and education.

• Skills:

  • Strong communication and management skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints skillfully.

  • Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

  • Basic mathematical skills (e.g., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and ratios).

• Compensation: $21.00-$24.50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
