Transportation Engineer

What you’ll do

Under the direction of a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or Project Engineer, perform the following items for transportation and Complete Street Projects:

• Design calculations

• Bid documents including specifications and drawings

• State, federal, and local permit applications

• Perform fieldwork such as GPS data collection, infrastructure inspections and assessment, traffic counts, and construction observation

• Contribute to reports describing the objectives, methods, results, and conclusions from field efforts

• Use technical software to support transportation

• Use AutoCAD and GIS applications to support planning and design

• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with staff. Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for interns

Must have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

• Excellent writing skills

• Familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS applications & proficiency with Microsoft 365

• Valid Driver’s License
