Transportation Project Engineer

David Evans and Associates, Inc. (DEA) is seeking an experienced Transportation Project Engineer to join their Roads and Highways team in Boise, ID, with potential opportunities in Coeur d'Alene, Pocatello, and Spokane. This role involves performing advanced transportation engineering design, managing multidiscipline projects, and supporting infrastructure improvements for highways, freeways, roadways, and related transportation projects.

Key responsibilities include designing and analyzing transportation plans, coordinating with project managers and team members, preparing construction drawings and technical specifications, analyzing project reports and as-builts, and managing schedules. The position also involves acting as a roadway task lead, mentoring junior staff, collaborating with DOTs and local agencies, and engaging with stakeholders through open houses and public meetings.

Preferred candidates will have experience working with the Idaho Transportation Department and the Washington Department of Transportation. This role provides an opportunity to work on high-impact projects addressing modern transportation challenges such as aging infrastructure, funding constraints, and environmental concerns.
