Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages, addressing a broad range of acute and non-emergency medical issues.

• Conduct patient assessments, order diagnostic tests, and deliver appropriate treatments in a fast-paced clinical setting.

• Manage patient flow efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and compassion.

• Collaborate closely with other physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.

• Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and efficient documentation.

• Participate in continuing medical education (CME) and professional development programs to maintain clinical excellence.

• Contribute to the culture of teamwork, innovation, and patient satisfaction that defines Hoag’s medical community.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Full-time; 144 hours per 4-week block.

• Clinic Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

  • Saturday–Sunday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 2 weekend days per month.

• Patient Volume: Up to 4 patients per hour.

• Practice Setting: High-volume urgent care environment; small group office and large organizational network.

• Age Range: Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages.

Qualifications:

• M.D. or D.O. Degree from an accredited institution.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

• Current and unrestricted California medical license (or eligibility to obtain).

• Strong procedural and diagnostic skills; comfort with a wide range of clinical settings.

• Proficiency in EPIC EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.

• Multilingual abilities preferred.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
