Description:

BlackRock is seeking a Vice President/Director to join their US Wealth Portfolio Design and Services Pillar team. This role will focus on developing and commercializing BlackRock’s whole portfolio offering, combining funds, private markets, SMAs, and options into a single portfolio for high-net-worth investors. The Platform and Partnerships Lead will be responsible for driving the future of BlackRock’s business by managing partnerships with wealth management and fintech platforms, and accelerating the delivery of these solutions to market. This dynamic role involves strategy development, relationship management, platform consultation, and integration with cutting-edge wealth tech solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify industry trends and explore new product and platform opportunities.

• Accelerate the rollout of BlackRock Whole Portfolios on wealth tech platforms through strategic partnerships.

• Work directly with RIAs, wealth management firms, and advisors to consult on the fintech landscape and platforms.

• Lead contract negotiations and work with legal and vendor management teams to define agreements.

• Design user experiences and workflows to optimize platform integration and performance.

• Oversee the service model, including processes and service level agreements.

• Coordinate technology and operations integrations for platforms like Aperio, Fixed Income SMA, private markets, and SpiderRock options.

• Collaborate with product, marketing, National Accounts, and Sales teams to support marketing, training, and sales activation.

• Identify new fintech solutions for potential integration and evaluation.

• Manage ongoing relationships, providing enhancements and ensuring service delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong project management and organizational skills.

• Experience with wealth tech platforms, including TAMPS, UMAs, wealth management workstations, and digital alternatives platforms.

• Deep understanding of model portfolios, SMAs, private markets, and options overlays.

• Ability to lead cross-functional, virtual teams.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated analytical ability.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Self-starting personality with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to design effective processes.

• Experience with retail financial advisor industry and portfolio management is a plus.

• Investment expertise in outsourced wealth solutions.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of relevant asset management industry experience, with SMA experience preferred.

• BA/BS degree required.

• NASD Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses.

• Basic knowledge of industry landscape, capital markets, and portfolio construction.
