Vice President

 

Description:

Black Rock is seeking a highly motivated professional to join its 1940 Act Registered Fund Compliance team, overseeing multiple product lines including mutual funds, closed-end funds, and ETFs, supporting both index and actively managed products. The Vice President will manage compliance risk, ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and support key partners across product development, business operations, and portfolio management. This position may also contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining compliance programs for 1940 Act funds.

  • Provide support for new product development and implementation of regulatory changes.

  • Implement compliance control frameworks, policies, procedures, and testing programs relevant to regulatory and legal requirements.

  • Support key stakeholders including product development, operations, and portfolio management.

  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects.

  • Work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Required Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in legal or compliance within a leading investment management or financial services organization.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exceptional analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build relationships, solve problems practically, and communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; law degree or MBA preferred.
