Description:
Kennedy Bond, on behalf of a global leader in rare disease innovation, is seeking an accomplished Vice President, Clinical Development. This senior leadership position is integral to shaping the strategy, design, and execution of rare disease clinical programs. The organization’s mission is to deliver life-changing therapies that address critical unmet needs and significantly improve outcomes for patients worldwide. The VP will play a pivotal role in advancing the company’s pipeline from early-stage development through regulatory submission and commercialization.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic, scientific, and clinical leadership across all rare disease development programs.
Lead the design, oversight, and execution of Phase I–IV clinical trials, ensuring alignment with scientific, regulatory, and operational objectives.
Partner with cross-functional teams including regulatory, medical affairs, and commercial to ensure integrated clinical and business strategies.
Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing clinical development team, fostering innovation, accountability, and excellence.
Establish strong collaborations with key opinion leaders, investigators, patient advocacy groups, and regulatory bodies to support clinical strategy and submissions.
Monitor emerging scientific, regulatory, and competitive trends to inform and expand the pipeline strategy.
Qualifications:
MD, or MD/PhD with board certification in a relevant therapeutic discipline.
Minimum of 12 years of progressive clinical development experience, preferably within rare disease therapies.
Proven history of leading successful clinical programs through regulatory milestones (IND, NDA/BLA, or device approvals).
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Deep passion for rare diseases and commitment to improving patient outcomes through innovation.
