Foundr, a high-growth technology company, is actively seeking a visionary and technically strong Vice President of Software Engineering to join its leadership team in the San Francisco Bay Area. This hybrid, full-time role is ideal for an executive who combines deep engineering expertise with a strategic mindset and proven leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute the company’s software engineering strategy in alignment with product and business goals.

• Lead, scale, and mentor a high-performing engineering team across backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA disciplines.

• Establish technical standards, best practices, and engineering processes that foster innovation, efficiency, and quality.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and executive teams to deliver scalable and secure software solutions.

• Own engineering KPIs, timelines, budgets, and resource planning to meet business objectives.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and propose adoption strategies to enhance the company’s tech stack and capabilities.

• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, learning, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles.

• Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams in fast-paced environments.

• Strong architectural knowledge and familiarity with modern tech stacks (e.g., cloud-native development, microservices, DevOps practices).

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Experience working in both startup and enterprise environments is a plus.
