Visual Information Specialist

 

Description:

This entails demonstrating excellent customer service and problem-solving skills, designing and producing a variety of print and digital marketing products, copy writing, editing for print, web and electronic media (e.g. Facebook, Instagram and You Tube), and multimedia production such as motion graphics and video editing with the occasional operation of print production equipment such as digital press, laminators, folders, ream cutters, etc. Incumbent must keep current with trends in marketing, brand management and design, use an electronic database to manage multiple projects, priorities, schedules and deadlines, conduct market research as needed, and ensure that marketing materials are distributed in a timely manner. Incumbent may also be required to work periodically at various regional sites in addition to assigned location, participate in working groups and planning sessions and/or represent FFR at meetings or special events.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere Pro) and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in graphic design and multi-media production is required. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Incumbent must also have a working knowledge of integrated marketing communications (IMC), brand management, photography, video production and graphic design principles. A bachelor'sdegree in marketing, graphic design or a related field is preferred. Print production experience and knowledge of Navy Community Programs and/or MWR is a plus. This position is also subject to background check in accordance with federal regulations.
