  • Planned Giving Programs: Develop and promote legacy giving opportunities aligned with donor values and TBHF’s long-term goals.
  • Donor Development: Build relationships with individual donors, family foundations, philanthropic institutions, and corporate sponsors.
  • Prospect Research: Identify, evaluate, and prioritize fundraising prospects using data-driven tools and research methodologies.
  • Campaign Support: Collaborate with leadership to execute fundraising campaigns, sponsorship initiatives, and special events.
  • Impact Reporting: Support the development of materials that communicate outcomes and impact to donors and partners.

  • Proven experience in nonprofit fundraising, with success in securing annual, major, or planned gifts.
  • Strong grasp of prospect research tools and donor management practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills—comfortable crafting compelling pitches and reports.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Deep respect for and passion for African and African Diaspora history, culture, and empowerment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, Business, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and fundraising platforms is a plus.

Why Join TBHF?

This is your chance to leave a legacy. As we build a digital-first institution dedicated to Black heritage, you’ll be part of a team that is unapologetically focused on restoring, preserving, and elevating the global Black narrative.
