Warehouse Associate

 

Description:

The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the safe and orderly stocking, storing, and labeling of all incoming materials and supplies at the location’s warehouse for future redistribution. This position will additionally be responsible for the picking, packing and distribution of materials and supplies for delivery via outside carriers or local Airgas drivers to the customer’s location.
 

  • Leader in understanding and following all Airgas Work Safety Rules
  • Daily safety walk through of entire branch/plant ensure any discrepancies are taken care of
  • Ensure all trucks are up to date on PMs repairs and paperwork and assist in scheduling
  • Ensure all safety protocols are understood and followed by drivers
  • Ensure drivers are using all PPE and uniforms as required and replaced as needed
  • Good catches and near misses entered weekly
  • Monthly truck audit completed on time
  • Upload DOT Manifests
  • DVIRs completed before all trucks leave yard
  • Driver file for individual to be able to drive VMI truck
  • Daily safety huddle completed with drivers and BM
  • Work with BM to ensure HSE files are up to date
  • Daily fork truck inspections -Report any findings to BM
  • Stocks, stores, labels, picks/packs and distributes materials and supplies.
  • Validates delivery of materials and provides a physical receipt.
  • Performs periodic inventory of warehouse materials as directed.
  • Organizes and controls site warehouse inventoried items.
  • Reviews incoming and outgoing product invoices per Company policy.
  • Safely operates a forklift, pallet jack, or other warehouse/material handling equipment.
  • Follows appropriate Company policies and procedures (SOPs) as they relate to distribution, safety, etc.
  • Performs general site housekeeping duties as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Ensure notification to any branches with impacted deliveries for the day so customers can be notified
  • Work through sales any delivery issues or concerns so delivery can be made safely
  • Cover counter as needed including order entry
  • Complete Daily work daily
  • Ensure routes are prepared and validated each day
  • Responsible for validating the transactional accuracy of drivers
  • Assisting BM in ensuring all metrics are met or exceeded
  • Fuel card audits validated with BM
  • Maintain driver schedules
  • Ensure warehouse/lot is clean and organized
  • Ensure proper par levels are kept for all cylinders, dewars, cradles (MRP SETTINGS)
  • Ensure all tank movements are completed on time with full and empty inventory accuracy at or above regional expectations.
  • Ensure cylinder shuttle STO’s are received and verified. All cylinders are put away in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring AM and PM truck reconciliations are completed.
  • Ensure all tickets are PGI daily and errors addressed and rectified daily
  • Complete daily cycle counts and quarterly cylinder inventory as needed
  • Assist in loading trucks in AM
  • Staging cylinders for AM truck loading every day
