- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE), or ability to obtain within 6 months in VA, MD, or DC
- At least seven (7) years of related work experience in civil engineering activities
- Experience reviewing as-built drawings and 3-D models, as well as utilizing CAD, Revit, GIS, and Adobe Photoshop programs
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite, particularly Word and PowerPoint
- Experience writing internal memoranda of record and developing technical documents or reports for internal stakeholder review and use
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 360, Microsoft Windows, and the fundamentals of a network environment to perform reliable electronic document control functions
- Ability to create presentation materials for supervisory staff to deliver to management teams
- Ability to exercise measured reasoning, draw conclusions, and make recommendations on program organization, as well as technical and business issues
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to appropriately interact, as well as establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and government agency representatives
- Ability to physically access rail facilities, confined spaces, and perform hands-on inspection if needed, and
- Valid driver’s license.
