Windows Systems Administrator

Our client, a leader in their industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Windows Systems Administrator to work on a 12-month + contract position in Charlotte, NC working hybrid onsite 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Build and configure Windows and Linux operating systems across servers and workstations.

• Follow established procedures and methodologies for installations, upgrades, and maintenance.

• Integrate and support software solutions for monitoring and hardware technologies.

• Track progress, report issues, and escalate impediments as needed.

• Maintain system documentation and support virtual appliance configuration and management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

• 1–2 years of hands-on experience with Windows and/or Linux system administration.

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.

• Experience with Linux systems (RHEL 8/9) and shell scripting.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.

• Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or BigFix.

• Knowledge of ServiceNow, JIRA, or other ticketing systems.

• Exposure to Agile methodologies and infrastructure support tools.
