Wire Transfer Associate

Description:

SoFi, a leading next-generation financial services company and national bank, is seeking detail-oriented and motivated Wire Transfer Associates to join its Back Office operations team in Jacksonville, FL. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing wire transfers, providing operational support, and assisting in process improvements within banking operations.

The Wire Transfer Associate will act as a subject matter expert in wire transfer processing, adhering strictly to associated regulations, while also assisting with settlements, reviewing transactions, and maintaining strong operational controls. This individual will work with both internal teams and external stakeholders, contribute to strategic planning, and provide training and guidance to less experienced team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process incoming and outgoing wire transfer requests accurately and within deadlines.

• Conduct research and respond to wire-related inquiries from staff and customers.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on process changes and enhancements.

• Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) remain accurate and up to date.

• Support front-office staff in handling member inquiries.

• Assist with settlements and other banking operations processes.

• Review and process financial transactions while maintaining internal controls.

• Proactively identify and resolve operational issues to protect client relationships.

• Participate in strategic planning and continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in banking operations.

• Strong understanding of banking processes and regulations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• General accounting knowledge.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexible, dependable, and collaborative team player.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base pay: $20/hr – $31/hr (final offer based on skills, experience, and location).
