Description:

TEGNA Inc., a national media powerhouse with 64 television stations across 51 U.S. markets, is looking for a highly motivated Account Executive to join their high-performing sales team in New York. This role offers the opportunity to be a vital contributor to the company’s evolving digital advertising and broadcast initiatives while helping to shape the future of local news and services through an integrated, strategic approach.

The Account Executive will be responsible for developing and managing client relationships, promoting a wide suite of advertising solutions including TEGNA’s broadcast properties and its industry-leading OTT platform, Premion. This position requires a forward-thinking, data-driven sales professional with strong communication skills and a proven ability to exceed revenue targets in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build strategic, consultative relationships with clients and agencies

  • Deliver tailored advertising solutions across broadcast and digital platforms

  • Develop go-to-market strategies to maximize client results

  • Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

  • Present compelling media proposals, backed by data-driven insights

  • Proactively engage with the buying community on market trends

  • Lead negotiations and expand account portfolios

  • Monitor, report, and merchandise campaign performance


Basic Requirements:

  • 1+ year of experience in digital media sales, advertising, or related fields

  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales goals

  • Ability to multitask and think strategically under pressure

  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and present actionable recommendations

  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels including OTT, programmatic, display, video, and social media

  • College degree preferred


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary: $100,000 to $130,000

  • Monthly Salary: Approx. $8333 to $10833
