Accounts Payable Analyst

Description:

Cyperus Group, Inc. is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Analyst to join their finance team in New York. This full-time hybrid role offers a dynamic opportunity to support critical financial operations including expense management, vendor payments, reconciliation, and audit compliance. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills in financial systems and a thorough understanding of AP processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expense Management:

  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly American Express and Concur expense activity.

  • Act as the Concur liaison for administrative teams and provide end-user support.

  • Review and validate expense coding in Concur to ensure it aligns with general ledger classifications.

  • Upload validated expense data to Sage Intacct for accounting integration.

• Financial Analysis & Compliance:

  • Analyze Concur data prior to upload, identifying discrepancies in project codes, portfolios, receivables, or P&Ls.

  • Properly allocate non-deductible expenses to maintain accurate tax treatment.

  • Ensure electronic filing of Concur reports, verifying receipt attachments and required approvals to meet audit standards.

• Vendor and Payment Processing:

  • Monitor and manage the accounts payable inbox.

  • Validate, code, and process vendor invoices in accordance with internal approval policies.

  • Generate and execute electronic payments and apply disbursements in Sage Intacct to reconcile vendor balances.

• Month-End Close Support:

  • Assist in the monthly close by reconciling AP-related accounts.

  • Investigate and correct discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Preferred Skills & Tools:

• Proficiency in Concur, Sage Intacct, and Microsoft Excel.

• Solid understanding of general ledger functions and AP best practices.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving financial discrepancies.
