Description:

The Mobile Software Engineer position serves on the Device Engineering team and is responsible for helping create and maintain mobile applications and facilitate the deployment of mobile applications. As an engineer, they take responsibility to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance iOS and Android mobile applications used by Cast Members. They also work with internal and external stakeholders to help with the integration of hardware and software packages. They are responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to define new product requirements, features, and functionality. This role requires individuals who are passionate about delivering a quality product and enjoy working closely with business partners on both strategic and tactical challenges.
 

 

Responsibilities
 

  • Develop mobile applications ready for deployment in an enterprise environment using secure coding practices and techniques.
  • Deliver solutions using modern SDLC practices, code-management pipelines, and a test-driven approach.
  • Understand use cases and provide solutions, that comply with Security and Compliance guidelines and Company policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to plan, create and implement new standardized device images using Enterprise Mobility Management Systems for efficient deployment across multiple devices.
  • Assist with software deployment and mobile device management for applications created by various teams throughout Parks, Experiences, and Products.
  • Assist with integrating and setting standards for integrating mobile devices with other hardware, particularly devices that assist with NFC reads, reading barcodes, and printing.
     

Qualifications

4-5 years of relevant work experience in software engineering working on mobile applications deployed to internal users in an enterprise environment.

Demonstrated proficiency in developing mobile applications for iOS and Android, both native and hybrid. Experience with Flutter is a plus.

Demonstrated knowledge of integrating hardware peripherals with mobile devices and applications, including firmware and SDK integration.

Experience using and administering Enterprise-class MDM solutions, preference for Workspace ONE (aka Airwatch), including activities like smart group creation, scripting profiles and certificates.

Experience with Technical writing, SharePoint, Power Automate, Tableau and Web Data Connectors.
