Assembly Lead

 

Description:

The Assembly Lead is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations within the assigned production cell, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to established processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to effectively direct production activities. The Assembly Lead proactively communicates and addresses safety, quality, and productivity issues, working collaboratively with team members to resolve challenges in a timely manner. Additionally, the Assembly Lead ensures that all cell associates comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, and appropriately escalates concerns when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Enforce safety rules and procedures and escalate safety concerns
  • Prioritize work for each cell
  • Update production plan
  • Job scheduling
  • Monitor productivity
  • Manage Dynamic Resource Allocation
  • Ensure on-time completion of process, 5S and Kanban Audits
  • Monitor associates training program
  • Monitor standard work and eliminate waste
  • Coordinate all shift tasks, as applicable
  • Perform production work, as needed and maintain personal current cell training requirements
  • Update and communicate production reports
  • Communication of issues as they arise and assisting to resolve them quickly
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in cell and plantwide
     

Required Skills and Qualifications:
 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work well as a part of a team
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and peers
     

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
 

  • Familiarity reading prints, reviewing dimensions and reviewing bill of materials
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Prior experience with problem solving tools
     

Work Type: Onsite: This role follows an Onsite Work Schedule and requires working from your designated Regal Rexnord office on a full‑time basis.
