Associate Medical Director

 

Description:

The Associate Medical Director provides clinical and operational leadership in a community health outpatient setting. This role combines direct patient care with oversight of quality improvement, clinician performance, workflow optimization, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Deliver comprehensive primary care (Family Practice and Pediatrics) including preventive, acute, and chronic care management.
  • Monitor clinician performance and support quality improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and refine clinical policies, workflows, EHR templates, and referral processes.
  • Ensure timely documentation, billing compliance, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
     

Education, Licensure, And Experience
 

  • MD or DO from an accredited U.S. medical school (or FMG with ECFMG certification).
  • Completed U.S. residency in Family Practice or Pediatrics.
  • Board Certified in Family Practice or Pediatrics.
  • Active, unrestricted California medical license.
  • Minimum 3 years of outpatient primary care experience.
  • Prior leadership experience required; FQHC experience preferred.
  • BLS certification and eligibility for Medicare/Medi-Cal credentialing.
