Associate Principal Specialist Solution Architect

Description:

Red Hat is seeking a highly skilled Specialist Solution Architect to join their sales team and support customers in designing innovative open source technology solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise in Red Hat technologies, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage directly with customers through demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of concept. The architect will act as a key technical advisor, helping solve enterprise IT and business challenges by leveraging Red Hat’s cloud, container, Kubernetes, and Linux technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Discover and analyze customer business and technical challenges, designing tailored Red Hat solutions.

• Provide technical leadership during sales presentations, product demos, workshops, and proofs of concept.

• Assist sales teams in addressing technical questions and requirements.

• Build strategic business and technical relationships with customer stakeholders to identify new opportunities.

• Achieve bookings quotas by supporting sales closure efforts.

• Contribute to Red Hat knowledge sharing by creating documentation, reusable assets, and presenting at industry events.

• Collaborate with Red Hat Engineering, Business Units, Professional Services, Sales teams, and partners to ensure outstanding customer experiences.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in sales engineering, consulting, IT architecture, or equivalent roles in large organizations.

• Excellent communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong team player with a customer success mindset.

• Ability to understand and address customer technical challenges using appropriate technologies.

• Knowledge of Linux/UNIX OS, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or derivatives.

• Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware vSphere, KVM).

• Experience deploying Kubernetes at scale.

• Familiarity with cloud Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) technologies like Red Hat OpenShift.

• Understanding of DevOps practices from a technology standpoint.

• Experience with design and operation of medium to large-scale enterprise and cloud infrastructures with high availability.

• Willingness to travel regionally.

Preferred (Plus) Skills:

• Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Terraform.

• Knowledge of management, logging, and observability solutions.

• Experience or certification with any public cloud provider.

• Red Hat certification(s).
