Associate Property Manager

 

Description:

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Associate Property Manager, Multifamily to manage and maintain residential communities to a market-ready standard while ensuring high levels of service and operational efficiency. This role requires strong leadership skills to build and motivate high-performing teams to maximize property performance and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Regional Property Manager with overall building operations.

  • Oversee all property functions including maintenance, lease administration, budgeting, reporting, collections, evictions, marketing, service contracts, and audits.

  • Provide superior customer service to residents and prospects, enhancing renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability.

  • Complete lease and renewal paperwork per company standards.

  • Track and evaluate advertising and client traffic.

  • Lead by example and model Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company.

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of on-site staff, including interviewing, hiring, coaching, and ensuring compliance with company policies.

  • Maintain residents' files and ensure a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution.

  • Manage all aspects of property budget and finances.

  • Work with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing goals.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma, GED, or Technical/Vocational school required.

  • Minimum 3+ years of property management experience.

  • Minimum 1+ year of management experience.

Competencies & Skills:

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation.

  • General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills.

  • Ability to manage a team and ensure operational compliance.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Professional office environment with regular travel between properties.

  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, and work in varying weather conditions.

  • Operate office machinery and remain stationary for long periods.
