Trust Asset Manager

 

Description:

Cushman & Wakefield, a global leader in real estate services, is seeking a Trust Asset Manager to oversee a dynamic and expanding portfolio of over 40 timberland assets in the Pacific Northwest. This is a remote full-time opportunity offering competitive compensation and benefits. The role is responsible for delivering strategic timberland management that aligns with the long-term goals of both the organization and its financial institution clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage timberland operations including timber sales, reforestation, roadwork, inventories, and boundary maintenance

  • Develop and implement short, mid, and long-term real estate strategies in partnership with bank clients

  • Prepare and manage annual timberland budgets and performance reviews

  • Analyze and present asset performance, market trends, and improvement strategies

  • Oversee acquisition, lease, and disposition processes, ensuring maximum asset value

  • Travel to asset sites and client meetings as necessary

  • Coordinate with third-party vendors, appraisers, brokers, and service providers to execute projects effectively

  • Ensure compliance with monthly, annual, and triennial regulatory and operational deadlines

  • Maintain professional accreditations and stay up-to-date with mandatory training requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry (Master’s degree preferred)

  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on forestry or timberland management experience

  • Proven negotiation skills in leasing, acquisition, and disposition of assets

  • Strong communication, leadership, and analytical problem-solving skills

  • Self-driven with a service-oriented mindset and the ability to work across multiple complex projects simultaneously
