As an Assurance Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals on multiple team engagements, helping clients across diverse industries. Interns at RSM do more than just observe—they actively contribute to audits, develop meaningful client relationships, and gain exposure to the firm’s robust audit methodologies and tools. This internship is ideal for students looking to integrate academic learning with real-world professional experience in a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, industries, accounting systems, and challenges.

• Gain hands-on experience with the RSM audit approach, methodologies, and tools.

• Assist in assessing risks and evaluating internal control structures.

• Perform substantive tests and internal control testing to identify and resolve accounting/reporting issues.

• Draft financial statements under prescribed formats.

• Communicate findings effectively with engagement teams and clients.

• Contribute to building strong client relationships and maintaining service excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

• 90 credit hours completed.

• Pursuing a B.A./B.S. degree in Accounting from an accredited university.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.

• Ability to travel to client locations (reliable transportation required).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Strong motivation to learn and succeed in a fast-paced professional setting.

• Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
