Backend Software Engineer (l4)

Description:

This team owns the core systems that decide who can earn on Uber and when — real-time eligibility, safety, and compliance at global scale.

You’ll:
• Design and build high-scale distributed systems that run across cities, states, and countries
• Work on our centralized access & eligibility platform for every Uber trip and delivery
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to keep the platform safe, reliable, and compliant

We’d love to talk if you:
• Write solid backend code (Java, Go, Python, C++, etc.)
• Have experience with high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems
• Communicate clearly and enjoy working across teams
• Have a BS in CS or equivalent real-world experience
