Bank Manager

 

Description:

As a Bank Manager, you will guide and coach branch employees to deliver excellent customer service while driving sales, retention, and business growth. You’ll build customer relationships, advise on financial solutions, develop business in the community, and ensure compliance with banking regulations. This role requires federal registration with the NMLS (per the S.A.F.E. Act).


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach branch staff to achieve customer experience, sales, and profitability goals.

  • Build and execute branch business plans for growth and customer retention.

  • Conduct customer calls, referrals, and community networking to attract business.

  • Advise customers on banking, credit card, and loan solutions.

  • Ensure compliance with Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act.

  • Monitor branch performance, resolve escalated customer issues, and manage expenses.

  • Support employee development and career growth, addressing both performance and training needs.

  • Implement new programs, processes, and national/regional sales initiatives.

  • Identify emerging industry trends and integrate insights into business planning.


Qualifications

✅ 4–6 years of banking or financial services experience (management experience preferred).
✅ Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
✅ Strong knowledge of:

  • Retail banking products/services

  • Branch operations & technologies

  • Competitive marketplace trends

  • Applicable banking regulations & audit standards
    ✅ Skills:

  • Advanced communication, collaboration, influence, and problem-solving

  • Data-driven decision making

  • Ability to develop customer relationships and lead high-performing teams
