Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), a global leader in sterilization and infection prevention technology, is seeking a Field Service Technician (Biomedical Field Service Engineer) to join its operations in Columbus, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that critical sterilization systems in hospitals and surgical centers operate at peak performance—directly impacting patient safety and clinical outcomes.
This position requires a technically skilled, customer-focused professional who can work independently to install, service, and maintain advanced medical sterilization equipment. You will also serve as the key technical liaison for hospital staff, ensuring reliability, compliance, and customer satisfaction across your assigned territory.
Install, validate, and maintain ASP sterilization systems across hospitals and clinical facilities.
Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and emergency repairs to optimize equipment performance.
Troubleshoot technical and mechanical issues, providing expert guidance to biomedical and clinical staff.
Manage customer relationships within assigned territory, maintaining high service standards and trust.
Plan and execute service schedules, manage parts inventory, and ensure accurate service documentation.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including some weekends or overnight stays as required.
Collaborate with sales and clinical teams to develop customer-focused technical solutions.
Ensure all service activities meet regulatory, safety, and reporting standards.
Operate company vehicle safely for local and regional travel within the territory (lifting up to 80 lbs).
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical or mechanical background with hands-on field service or repair experience.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in fast-paced healthcare environments.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Willingness to travel locally and regionally with occasional overnight assignments.
Associate degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
4+ years of experience in the medical device industry or biomedical field service.
MCP or Microsoft A+ certification (or equivalent).
Experience in a regulated field service environment, ideally within healthcare or life sciences.
Monthly Salary: USD 3958 – 7341 (plus performance-based bonus).
