Blood Bank Communications Manager

Description:

As a Communication Manager you’ll get to:

• Develops, executes, and measures the effectiveness of strategic public relations and special events to support the company’s collection goals.
• Oversee the communication in the assigned region, providing feedback as a part of the national communications strategy.
• Cultivate and nurture relationships with the media to facilitate organization’s media and public relations objectives.
• Serve as a primary spokesperson and coordinate media contact and communications with other spokespersons in the organization as appropriate.
• Recruit, develop and leverage community-based committees and contacts to assist with awareness, networking, outreach, and collaboration.
• Manage events for donor and coordinator recognition, and blood donation events.

Knowledge/ Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Public Relations or Marketing preferred.

Knowledge of the basic principles of marketing and communications required.
