Tarvos Talent is currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join a growing and dynamic firm based in Houston, TX. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team, overseeing full-cycle bookkeeping activities and possibly assisting with payroll services. A key part of the role involves managing client relationships, handling both the daily transactional functions and higher-level financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in accounting software.

• Reconcile bank statements and monitor financial accounts.

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable.

• Handle payroll processing and maintain employee records.

• Assist in preparing and filing tax documentation.

• Maintain well-organized financial records and documentation.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of financial procedures and internal controls.

• Stay informed about current accounting regulations and best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.

• Proficiency in QuickBooks (especially QuickBooks Online) and MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

• Familiarity with AIA documents is a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience with tax filing and e-commerce accounting will be highly regarded.
