Description:

Small startup seeks assistant builder. Applicants must have experience working with hand tools, power tools (chop saw, table saw, drill press, grinders, etc.), other shop equipment, and the ability to train on and implement new equipment. Broad mechanical and electrical knowledge and an acute attention to detail are welcome. Persons must be a self-starter with an independant attitude and a desire to take ownership of projects, while still working in a small team environment. Weekend Vans has a relaxed work atmosphere, unique company culture, and we are prepared to train and invest in our staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and maintain supply of insulation, cable harnesses, panels for van builds
• Prepare equipment and parts for installation
• Assist Lead Builders with installations
• Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
• General errand runs
• Attend weekly meetings

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• A reliable personal vehicle
• Ability to lift 50lbs unassisted
• Experience with wood working and related tools: table and jig saws, routers, etc.
• Familiarity with low voltage wiring and related tools and terminology
• Excellent communication skills both verbally and over text and email
• Basic computer skills
• Attention to detail and a desire to build the best van possible
• Desire to learn
• Positive Mental Attitude
