Business Development Executive

Description:

Recruits new customers to NV Energy’s service territory and leads efforts internally to provide creative and seamless solutions for new business development opportunities, promotes the benefits of both NV Energy and regional economic growth to targeted industries. Strengthens relationships with real estate developers as single point of contact for new and existing projects. Facilitates tactical plans through strong relationships with local economic development agencies, elected officials and other stakeholders. Promotes a positive image of NV Energy by attending community functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with NV Energy strategic development groups to design and execute regional development plans to meet corporate growth objectives.
• Fosters strong relationships with regional economic development agencies and elected officials to integrate NV Energy strategic development plans with regional growth strategies.
• Recruits new customers to meet the strategic requirements of NV Energy development plans and champions business diversity.
• Leverages statewide economic and business development opportunities to support NV Energy growth strategies.
• Champions regional redevelopment efforts, incorporating them into NV Energy tactical business development plans.
• Collaborates with rural district managers to ensure implementation of statewide economic development strategies.
• Designs creative business solutions for prospective customers.
• Collaborates with the Business Development team to design marketing collateral to promote regional and statewide economic development initiatives.
• Creates and maintains strong business relationships with real estate developers beneficial to NV Energy.
• Decreases facility costs by directing new customers to area with sufficient existing electrical capacity for the proposed operation.
