Scientific Search is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for a rapidly expanding specialty pharmaceutical CDMO client. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to collaborate with biopharma partners to transform challenging molecules into breakthrough therapeutics using advanced drug formulation and delivery technologies.

The successful candidate will lead strategic growth initiatives, drive client engagement, and foster partnerships that help bring complex drug candidates to market. This position blends scientific understanding with commercial strategy and provides the flexibility of remote work while contributing to an organization that is pushing the boundaries of pharmaceutical innovation.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to expand CDMO client partnerships.

  • Identify, engage, and build relationships with new pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients within the assigned territory.

  • Promote and present the company’s technical capabilities, including nanoformulations, injectables, and drug delivery platforms.

  • Manage the end-to-end business development process including proposal creation, negotiation, and contract finalization.

  • Represent the organization at trade shows, conferences, networking events, and technical workshops to enhance brand visibility and client acquisition.

  • Collaborate with internal technical and project management teams to align client needs with service offerings.

  • Maintain consistent communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify future collaboration opportunities.

  • Utilize CRM tools (HubSpot or Salesforce) to manage client data, monitor pipeline progress, and track performance metrics.


Required Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

  • Demonstrated success in business development, technical sales, or client relationship management within the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry.

  • Strong understanding of drug formulation, drug delivery systems, or contract development services.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and drive business outcomes.

  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.

  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).

  • Ability to travel 30–50% of the time to meet clients and attend industry events.
