Description:

Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites. This role is vital to hazardous waste clean-up operations, combining both driving and non-driving duties. The ideal candidate will be part of a team that maintains safety while operating equipment such as vacuum trucks, Cuscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize health and safety by complying with all work practices, policies, and safety processes.

  • Operate commercial trucks, including a variety of Class A vehicles, and assist field laborers when needed.

  • Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer needs.

  • Safely load and unload trucks and ensure vehicles are placarded in accordance with company and DOT requirements.

  • Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and other required reports.

  • Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.

  • Operate vehicles in compliance with U.S. DOT and other regulatory guidelines.

  • Participate in emergency response on a rotating on-call basis (every other week).

  • Handle hazardous materials, perform site remediation, and decontaminate equipment as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid Class A CDL.

  • Ability to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsement within 90 days of employment.

  • Ability to use mobile devices effectively.

  • Ability to perform physical functions as required by the job.

  • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical examination.

  • Meet OSHA’s Respiratory Protection Standards, including facial hair requirements for respirator use.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial driving experience.

  • Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.

  • Previous experience with hazardous materials.

  • Ability to operate manual transmission trucks.

  • Previous manual labor experience.

Salary:

  • $22.00 – $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.
