Description:
The Division of Family and Community Services is seeking to hire a clerical supervisor to supervise clerical staff engaged in performing a variety of complex, specialized clerical functions. This position keyboards complex documents; maintains confidential files/documents of active/closed Department of Human Services (DHS) cases; and distributes/prepares mail.
Job Responsibilities
- Serves as Clerical Supervisor.
- Serves as a working supervisor.
- Plans, organizes, directs and reviews work of assigned staff, provides managerial direction to staff concerning production and operational efficiency.
- Monitors reception log, scanning and DataCap processes and reports.
- Monitors staff in the receipt, sorting, stamping and distribution of incoming and preparing outgoing mail.
- Reviews and evaluates report of staff activities, including error reports, audit findings and quality assurance reviews.
- Prepares and keyboards a variety of correspondence, including memos and letters which often contain technical, medical and/or psychological terminology.
- Reviews the issuance and replacement of Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) LINK cards to verify the proper input of calculations so timely service is received.
- Performs other duties as required and assigned which are reasonable within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
