Duties

• Direct and/or conduct studies on cost, interoperability, industry trends, performance, reliability, and functionality of systems and networks.
• Conceive, evaluate, and develop new approaches and techniques for integration and interface requirements involving legacy and future systems and equipment.
• Identify, procure, install, integrate, test, and evaluate applications and system software packages for use by NIH researchers and other personnel.
• Consider factors such as functionality, reliability, flexibility, ease of use, quality of support, availability on a variety of computing platforms, adherence to standards, licensing terms, cost, and suitability for the NIH computing environment.
