Construction Superintendent

Description:

The Beechwood Organization, one of the leading residential builders in New York and the Carolinas, is currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee a new 10-story, 34-unit affordable housing project in Bronx, NY, beginning in August/September 2025.

This is a full-time, on-site position ideal for a construction professional who brings deep expertise in site supervision, safety enforcement, and multi-unit residential project coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day management of construction activities, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and up to the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and supervise all on-site construction operations, including subcontractor and vendor coordination.

• Ensure strict compliance with building codes, specifications, drawings, and project requirements.

• Enforce all safety regulations and maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.

• Track project milestones, resolve on-site issues, and report progress to the Project Manager.

• Maintain thorough documentation of progress using project management software.

• Ensure proper execution of project timelines, quality controls, and cost-effective solutions.

Requirements:

• Valid Construction Superintendent License (Mandatory).

• Demonstrated success in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry, ideally on residential or affordable housing projects.

• Strong command of Bluebeam, Procore, and the Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel).

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.

• Ability to be present on-site, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

• Familiarity with affordable housing construction practices is a strong advantage.
