Construction Superintendent

BLDG Talent, a specialized recruiting firm for construction professionals, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent for a full-time, on-site position based in Long Island, NY. This role is ideal for individuals who have a proven track record of successfully leading ground-up construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage.

The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for managing daily site operations, overseeing subcontractors, and coordinating all construction activities. A strong emphasis will be placed on enforcing safety protocols, maintaining compliance with project specifications, and ensuring that all work is completed within established budgets and timelines. The role requires proficiency in project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, with additional preference given to candidates familiar with Procore and Autodesk platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage daily construction site operations for ground-up projects.

• Supervise subcontractors and site crews, ensuring smooth workflow and compliance.

• Enforce safety regulations and uphold company standards at all times.

• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools.

• Monitor budgets and cost control measures to prevent overruns.

• Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications and project requirements.

• Provide regular progress updates and communicate effectively with project managers and ownership teams.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record as a Construction Superintendent on ground-up construction projects.

• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, safety practices, and scheduling.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Project or other project scheduling software.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

• Experience with Procore and/or Autodesk is highly desirable.

• Degree or certification in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is a plus.
