Corporate M&a Associate Attorney

Description:

Dorsey & Whitney LLP is seeking a Corporate M&A Associate with 2-3 years of experience in cross-border corporate and M&A matters. The associate will be part of the Corporate Department in their New York office, working closely with partners on a variety of exciting cross-border corporate matters and M&A transactions, particularly involving Chinese companies. This position offers the opportunity to gain substantial exposure to complex M&A and investment work.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide legal support for cross-border M&A, greenfield investment, and other transactions involving Chinese companies.

• Assist in drafting and negotiating transactional documents and agreements.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys on client development, project management, and strategic planning.

• Demonstrate strong client service skills and take ownership of projects.

• Act as a problem solver with excellent analytical and communication skills.

• Contribute to the development of corporate practice in the firm and assist in expanding relationships with clients.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Admission to the New York bar (or equivalent US jurisdiction).

• 2-3 years of experience in corporate transactional work, focusing on cross-border M&A, investment, and private equity at a large international law firm or top Chinese law firm.

• Strong drafting, analytical, project management, and communication skills.

• Familiarity with M&A, greenfield investment, private equity, and general corporate practice.

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.

• U.S. law degree (J.D. or LL.M.) and PRC law degree or experience working with PRC companies.
