Corrosion Technician

ONEOK, a Fortune 500 midstream service provider with over 100 years of business experience, is seeking mid to senior-level Corrosion Technicians to join their expanding team. These positions offer flexibility to be based within a 75-mile radius of Midland, TX.

The Corrosion Technician - Senior performs advanced-level activities in the design, installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systems. The role involves non-destructive testing on facilities, installing and repairing rectifiers, anodes, and test points, troubleshooting interference issues, and conducting continuity and soil resistivity surveys. The technician is also responsible for inspecting and maintaining cathodic protection tools and equipment.

Key duties include driving and maintaining company vehicles, preparing and updating detailed reports on test readings, equipment maintenance, and financial reconciliations. The role also involves conducting environmental activities as required, including emergency responses on pipelines per Department of Transportation regulations.

The ideal candidate has experience with company and government safety procedures, construction and maintenance, pipeline locating, cathodic protection tools, pipe coatings, metallurgy, and electronics. Strong skills in reading and interpreting maps, drawings, and technical manuals are essential.

The role demands physical strength to handle heavy work, and the ability to work in various environmental conditions including extreme weather, heights, confined spaces, and exposure to dust, noise, and electrical hazards.

Preferred certification includes NACE Cathodic Protection/Corrosion Certification.

Required Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of relevant corrosion control experience

• Knowledge of safety procedures, construction, and maintenance activities

• Experience with cathodic protection tools and systems

• Ability to read maps, drawings, and technical documents

• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks

Compensation:

• Expected Salary Range: $83,000 - $125,000 per year
