Description:
This Counsel will report into a Managing Counsel and join a small team. The Counsel serves as a key legal partner to sales teams. They support contract review/ negotiations, review customer-facing materials, and provide practical, risk-based guidance to help structure deals and close business efficiently. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- This role will act as a key legal partner to the commercial sales teams selling fraud and communications solutions
- Partner and collaborate with stakeholders across the business
- Support customer contract negotiations and marketing material reviews
- Work collaboratively with various teams including sales, compliance, information security, information technology, operations, product development, privacy
- Advise internal clients on legal and business issues and the implications of alternative positions to enable informed business decisions
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited school required.
- Qualified candidates must have an active license to practice law and be in good standing in the applicable state(s) of employment by the position start date (or as otherwise permitted by state rules).
- At all times of employment, qualified candidates must remain in good standing and maintain an active license to practice law in their applicable state(s) of employment.
- Experience reviewing and negotiating customer contracts
- An interest in emerging technologies, a desire to solve complex problems and a curiosity to explore new ideas

- Knowledge and understanding of GLBA, FCRA, DDPA
