Description:

Ampstek is seeking an experienced Oracle and SQL Server DBA to join their team for a contract position located in Iselin, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining database systems such as Oracle and SQL Server. This role requires an individual who can monitor database performance, implement tuning measures, and ensure the security, backup, and recovery strategies for the databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database systems: Oracle and SQL Server.

• Monitor database performance and implement tuning measures to optimize performance.

• Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Implement and enforce database security, user roles, and access controls.

• Design and maintain database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.

• Automate routine maintenance tasks and performance checks.

• Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to support application needs.

• Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patch management.

• Monitor system health and troubleshoot database-related issues.

• Ensure compliance with data governance and regulatory requirements.
