Debt Finance Lawyer

My client, a top-tier V30 law firm, is seeking a highly capable Debt Finance Associate with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their New York office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background representing borrowers, lenders, or private equity sponsors in complex financing transactions.

This opportunity offers the chance to work on market-leading deals, representing major financial institutions and sponsors in a broad range of debt transactions across industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in a wide variety of debt financing transactions, including acquisition financings, leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations, and syndicated credit facilities.
• Draft, negotiate, and review credit agreements, security documents, intercreditor agreements, and related documentation.
• Advise private equity sponsors, borrowers, and financial institutions on deal structuring and execution.
• Coordinate closely with colleagues in tax, corporate, and restructuring teams to provide comprehensive support on transactions.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in debt finance or related transactional practice at a leading law firm.
• Familiarity with market trends and practices in leveraged finance.
• Admission to the New York Bar (or ability to waive in).
