A premier litigation firm with a 70-year history of excellence is seeking experienced Municipal Defense Litigation Attorneys to join their growing legal team. This highly respected New York-based firm specializes in defending municipalities and public entities across a broad range of civil claims. This role offers the flexibility of remote or hybrid work arrangements, requiring in-person presence only for court appearances. The firm fosters a collaborative and supportive culture with a strong emphasis on high-quality legal representation and long-term partnerships with clients in the insurance and municipal sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Represent municipalities in civil litigation involving general liability, civil rights claims, employment law disputes, and tort actions.

• Handle cases related to premises liability, roadway and transit incidents (e.g., involving buses, police/fire vehicles, ambulances), and motor vehicle accidents.

• Defend employment-related litigation including Title VII, ADA, ADEA claims involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.

• Conduct all aspects of litigation including motion practice, depositions, hearings, trial preparation, and court appearances.

• Collaborate closely with clients, expert witnesses, and internal teams to build strong defenses and case strategies.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal defense, government litigation, or related insurance defense.

• Background in defending cases such as general liability, medical malpractice, construction defect, labor law, or premises liability preferred.

• Strong litigation skills, including discovery, motions, depositions, and pre-trial activities.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy abilities.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $150,000–$250,000 per year (based on experience).

• Approximate Monthly Salary: $12500–$20833.

• Annual Performance Bonus (End-of-Year).
