Description:

Builders FirstSource, America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added components, and construction services to the professional market, is seeking a Non-CDL Delivery Driver for its Grand Prairie, TX location. This role is ideal for individuals who are customer-focused, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to a supportive and growth-oriented work environment.

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, transporting, and delivering materials to customer sites while maintaining the highest level of customer service and safety compliance. The role involves operating vehicles weighing between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds, ensuring timely and undamaged delivery, and providing professional interaction with customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and securely transport materials to designated delivery sites.

• Safely unload materials and protect customer property during delivery.

• Verify order details, maintain delivery logs including weights, mileage, and locations.

• Serve as a customer service liaison, addressing and resolving delivery-related concerns.

• Perform routine vehicle safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.

• Use handheld devices for compliance with DVIR and HOS regulations.

• Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain hours of service logs.

• Perform credit/product return pick-ups when required.

• Operate forklifts or non-motorized material handling equipment for loading/unloading.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

• Ability to pass MVR report and obtain a DOT medical card.

• Basic math and measurement skills.

• Ability to read and communicate in English.

• Prior delivery experience preferred, especially within building materials.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 lbs frequently (and up to 200 lbs with assistance on occasion).

• Work may involve climbing, kneeling, lifting, or pushing.

• Exposure to temperature variations, dust, chemicals, noise, and mechanical parts.
