Description:
The Design Lead is an expert player-coach who can set a strategic design vision, guide research and design implementation, and deliver high-quality, production-ready materials at speed. They are chief collaborators with the business, technical, and product leaders to understand and inform the vision, objectives, and transformation plans to help identify opportunities for impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate the product vision and roadmap to the team and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create engaging user experiences and ensure design consistency.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business objectives and user feedback.
- Gather and analyze user research to inform product decisions and enhancements.
- Work closely with development teams to clarify requirements and ensure on-time delivery of features.
- Conduct iterative prototyping and usability testing to refine product features.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, developers, and design teams to align on project goals.
- Monitor product performance metrics and iterate on features based on data-driven insights.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Design, Computer Science).
- 5+ years of experience leading design teams
- Strong understanding of UX/UI principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Miro, Jira and Figma.
- Experience in user research methodologies and interaction design.
- Solid knowledge of wireframing, visual design, branding, typography, and layout design.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and work closely with development teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
