Known for offering timeless and iconic designs from legendary creators such as Charles and Ray Eames, Herman Miller, and Knoll, DWR is redefining modern interiors for the 21st century.

The Design Specialist plays a critical role in delivering exceptional client experiences through personalized design consultations and solutions. This position blends interior design expertise with consultative selling skills to help clients bring their design vision to life. Candidates should have a passion for modern interiors, a strong ability to build relationships, and a proven ability to achieve sales performance goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized design consultations to clients, providing tailored solutions for their interior needs.

• Build and maintain relationships with individual clients, trade professionals, and the local design community.

• Consistently meet and exceed sales performance goals, achieving KPIs such as revenue targets, conversion rates, and client retention.

• Provide space planning, product selection, and styling guidance using design expertise.

• Manage client relationships and lifecycle using CRM tools and outreach strategies.

• Maintain visual merchandising standards to reflect the brand’s modern aesthetic.

• Stay up to date on product knowledge, design trends, and industry insights through training and self-learning.

• Conduct in-home consultations and attend off-site client meetings when necessary.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong passion for modern interior design with a client-first approach.

• Experience in retail sales, design consultation, or customer success (preferred).

• Educational or professional background in interior design, architecture, or related field (preferred).

• Excellent skills in client assessment, problem-solving, and relationship building.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, or similar.

• Ability to lift at least 20 lbs and work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hourly pay: $19 – $20/hr (based on qualifications and experience).
