Description:

Raas Infotek is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Desktop Support Specialist to join its client engagement in Allen, Texas (On-site). This role is suited for a seasoned IT professional with extensive technical expertise across multiple operating systems and environments, coupled with strong communication and organizational skills.

The Desktop Support Specialist will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive end-user technical support, ensuring seamless operation of IT systems, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The position requires hands-on technical troubleshooting, proactive issue resolution, and the ability to manage multiple support priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver day-to-day desktop support for end users across Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, networking, and system configurations.

  • Maintain a courteous and professional approach while assisting colleagues and clients with IT-related problems.

  • Manage IT support requests, prioritize tasks, and provide timely resolution based on production requirements.

  • Document processes, solutions, and technical standards to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency.

  • Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance.

  • Handle equipment setup, configuration, and deployment.

  • Ensure proper functioning of IT assets and peripherals, and provide proactive monitoring and support.

  • Perform physically demanding tasks such as regularly lifting equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of IT support experience with strong expertise across multiple platforms (Windows, Mac, and Linux).

  • Exceptional technical troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly identify and resolve issues.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end users, clients, and team members.

  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.

  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to triage issues and balance workload according to business demands.

  • Physical ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 lbs) on a regular basis.
