Description:

The Direct-to-Consumer Digital Marketing Specialist at Pro Athlete will plan, coordinate, and oversee every aspect of the marketing process for various direct-to-consumer brands. We will lean on this role to not only understand the basics of marketing but to bring fresh ideas to the team. This role requires marketing experience and “know how” but possibly more importantly, a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote direct-to-consumer products or the overall brand of the company
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to inform marketing strategies
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, and email
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as sales, design, and product development, to align marketing efforts with business objectives
  • Analyze marketing data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions for future initiatives
  • Develop and implement content marketing strategies and schedules, including blog posts, articles, videos, and other materials to engage the target audience. Work with in-house graphic designers and photographers to create content for each
  • Oversee social media presence and engage with the online community to build brand loyalty and foster positive interactions
  • Collaborate with external agencies including vendors and influencers to execute marketing projects and campaigns
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve marketing strategies
  • Prepare and manage the marketing budget, including paid advertising, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient allocation of resources
  • Conduct regular competitive analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses and adapt marketing strategies accordingly
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and present marketing results
  • Identify and explore new marketing opportunities and channels to expand the company's reach and visibility
  • Support the development and execution of product launches and promotional activities
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners
  • Develop and execute a basic Search Engine Optimization strategy to ensure direct-to-consumer brands are appearing as they should

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to create and implement a marketing strategy for various brands
  • Willingness to execute a marketing strategy from ideation to completion

To hit a grand slam, you’ll need the following Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience managing all phases of the marketing process
  • Experience working on multiple brands at the same time a plus
  • Understanding of baseball/softball and pickleball a plus
  • Experience in a startup environment a plus
