Description:

GFT is seeking a highly skilled 3D Visualization Specialist to join its Transportation Business Group. This role focuses on transforming engineering designs and technical data into cinematic-quality 3D visuals and animations that engage stakeholders and elevate public and client presentations. The position can be remote or hybrid, with occasional travel required for meetings, coordination, or presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate CAD files, plans, sketches, and drone data into immersive and emotionally engaging 3D visualizations.

  • Create photorealistic environments, still renderings, and cinematic animations using 3ds Max and V-Ray.

  • Edit and enhance visual content using Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and other Creative Cloud tools.

  • Support public engagement, proposals, and design approvals with compelling visual storytelling.

  • Collaborate with project leads, team members, and clients across transportation and infrastructure sectors.

  • Contribute to the creative direction and development of GFT’s in-house visualization studio.

  • Work closely with subject matter experts in a structured studio environment emphasizing innovation and technical excellence.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in animation, film, architecture, engineering, design, graphic art, digital media, video game design, or a related field.

  • 3–10 years of experience in 3D visualization.

  • Expert-level experience with 3ds Max and V-Ray; familiarity with Chaos Cosmos, Forest Pack, and RailClone is a plus.

  • Strong skills in mid-poly workflows, hard surface modeling, cinematic animation, and environment creation.

  • Proficient in Photoshop for photomontage, texture creation, and image editing.

  • Skilled in Premiere Pro; After Effects familiarity is a plus.

  • Understanding of CAD files, drone data, and engineering documents in the AEC sector.

  • Experience with real-time visualization platforms like Unreal Engine, Unity, or Twinmotion.

  • Strong cinematic storytelling, composition, and attention to detail.

  • Portfolio required: submit portfolio, animation reel, or website showcasing modeling, rendering, and animation work.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with AI-powered visualization tools (Stable Diffusion, Midjourney, RunwayML, Adobe Firefly).

  • Familiarity with Chaos Vantage, D5 Render, or other real-time tools.

  • Knowledge of simulation tools like Anima, CityTraffic, TyFlow, Phoenix FD.

  • Graphic/web design skills (Adobe Illustrator, WordPress, Squarespace, Wix).

  • XR/VR/AR experience, storyboarding, sketching, and production pipeline tools (ShotGrid, FTrack, Monday).

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary: $90,000 - $140,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
