The Director of IT leads enterprise technology strategy, execution, and governance across a global manufacturing organization. This leader ensures systems reliability, cybersecurity resilience, and digital transformation initiatives that directly support production, supply chain, quality, and commercial operations. The role requires deep SAP expertise, hands-on leadership, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic IT Leadership — Develop and execute a global IT roadmap aligned with manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial priorities.
  • SAP Ownership — Oversee SAP strategy, enhancements, integrations, and optimization across modules (MM, PP, SD, FI/CO).
  • Team Management — Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 11 IT professionals across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and support.
  • Global Systems Governance — Standardize processes, policies, and controls across international sites.
  • Manufacturing Systems Support — Ensure uptime and performance of MES, ERP, shop-floor automation, and plant-level technologies.
  • Cybersecurity & Compliance — Strengthen security posture, manage audits, and ensure compliance with global standards.
  • Vendor & Partner Management — Oversee relationships with SAP partners, MSPs, and technology vendors.
  • Digital Transformation — Drive modernization initiatives including cloud migration, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 capabilities.
  • Budget & Resource Management — Manage IT budgets, forecasting, and capital planning.

 

  • Required Qualifications
  • 10–15+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing.
  • Proven success managing SAP environments in global organizations.
  • Experience leading large teams (10+ direct reports).
  • Strong background in ERP, MES, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and global systems integration.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with operations, supply chain, finance, and plant leadership.
  • Experience managing multi-site and international technology environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
